Before connecting Resonline to Agoda you will need to inform Agoda that you are using Resonline as your channel manager.
If you already have an account with Agoda, you will need to get in touch with your Agoda Account Manager and let them know that from now on Resonline will be your channel manager.
If you haven't sign up to Agoda yet, please go to their sign up page, you will be asked to indicate your channel manager during the registration process - see image below
During registration process:
Once done, you can proceed to the Distribution page for Agoda. Please make sure that you read all information provided in Agoda's Welcome Page before you continue to the mapping screen.
This article will show you the following information about connection with Agoda:
•Single, Double and Full Occupancy rate calculation
1.To go back to the information provided in the Welcome Page by clicking the "Agoda Connection Information" tab from your mapping screen
2.Enter your Agoda userame, Password and Property ID.
If you are logging in as a single property - leave "No" in the Multi Property Login filed.
3.If you would like Resonline to update Extra Bed values on Agoda exranet - select "Yes". Click here to find out more.
4.Click Fetch Rooms button when ready and continue with the mapping process
Extra Bed Values updates can be enabled in Resonline Distribution screen for Agoda.
When enabled, the following Agoda fields will be updated by Resonline:
•Max Occupancy on Existing Bedding
•Max. Extra Beds
•Extra Bed costs for your nightly rates
To update those fields Resonline will use the settings you have supplied inside the Rooms and Rates screen in Resonline:
•Standard Guests Included in Price
•Maximum Guests Allowed
•Extra Adult Charge - note that the rate set in Rooms and Rates is not sent through to Agoda but is ONLY used to calculate the double, full occupancy & extra bed rates
In the Example above, we will send the following to Agoda:
“Max Occupancy on Existing Bedding” = 2 (using the Standard Guests Included in Price field)
“Max. Extra Beds” = 1 (Resonline will try to send 2 (Maximum occupancy (4) minus Standard Guests Included in Price (2)), however, the maximum number of Extra Beds that Agoda can support is 1, therefore this will be the value displayed on Agoda extranet.
“Extra Bed” rate is set to $30 when we are updating your nightly prices.
Important note:
Agoda has informed us however, that the maximum number of Extra Beds that they can support is 1.
For this reason we will not set the “Max Extra Beds” field to anything greater than 1.
This restriction for the example above will mean that Agoda will only be able to book this room for a maximum of 3 guests, even though you can cater for 4 guests.
You can disable this feature:
We have also given you the ability to disable this feature. Simply select "No" in “Update Extra Bed values” field to disable our updates. Then click Save Changes.
Now you can access Agoda's extranet and set your Extra Bed values manually.
Cheat Sheet
Calculation of different Agoda rates and Extra Bed price can be confusing, see the table below for examples and various scenarios of how Resonline setup affect Agoda if the Extra Bed Values are enabled.
Single, Double and Full Occupancy (Triple) rate update
Agoda's Single, Double and Full Occupancy (Triple) rate will be calculated using your Rooms and Rates settings:
•Standard Guests Included in Price
•Maximum Guests Allowed
•Extra Adult Charge
Single, Double and Full Occupancy Rate calculation
Resonline will send the Single Rate different to the Double rate only if Standard Guests Included in Price = 1
If Standard Guests Included in Price is greater than 1, then single = double rate.
Note: If you have not enabled a single rate in Agoda, our updates for this rate will be rejected by Agoda then on next try the double rate will be sent for the property.
Double Rate will be calculated using the Yearly Deals rate plus the Extra Adult Charge, and will only be applied if the Maximum Guests Allowed value is grater than 1.
In the example above:
Single rate = your Yearly Deals Rate (Standard Guests Included in Price = 1).
Double Rate = your Yearly Deals Rate + $50 (Extra Adult Price)
Full Occupancy rate = Triple Rate
Providing that the Maximum Guests Allowed value is grater than 2, the Full Occupancy (Triple) rate will be calculated using the same logic as with the Double Rate calculation.
Example 1.
Single Rate = Double Rate (Standard Guests Included in Price = 2)
Full Occupancy = your Yearly Deals Rate + $20 (Extra Adult Price)
No more than 3 guests will be allowed
Note: Remember, Agoda's Full Occupancy rate = Triple Rate, if your Maximum Guests Allowed value is grater than 3, your Full occupancy will still display the rate calculated for 3 guests only. The 4th person charge will be sent as an Extra Bed Charge (if ts feature is enabled in Resonline - Distribution).
Example 2.
Single Rate = your Yearly Deals Rate (Standard Guests Included in Price = 1)
Double rate = your Yearly Deals Rate + $25 (Extra Adult Charge )
Full Occupancy (Triple) rate = your Yearly Deals Rate + $50 (2 x Extra Adult Charge)
the 4th person rate will be calculated using Full Occupancy (Triple) rate + Extra Bed charge
Extra Bed charge = $25 (Extra Adult Charge)
Calculation of different Agoda rates and Extra Bed price can be confusing, see the table below for examples and various scenarios of how Resonline setup affect Agoda if the Extra Bed Values are enabled.
Agoda’s “Include Breakfast” option (tick box for each rate plan and date) can be updated by Resonline using Inclusions text for each rate plan and date.
If the Inclusions of Resonline’s rate plan have a word “breakfast” or “bkfst” - Agoda’s “Include Breakfast” option will be enabled.
Once those words disappear from Resonline Inclusions, the tick box will be unticked.
IMPORTANT!
Agoda’s system will not read the context of the information placed in inclusions, it will search the content for the word ‘breakfast’ or the abbreviation ‘bkfst’
ex.: if the inclusion says “NO breakfast” - Agoda will see the word ‘breakfast’ and will enable the option “Include Breakfast” regardless of the context the word is used in.
